Student Achievement Data [NWEA - Reading]

SY 2016 - Chicago Public Schools

The data below displays the movement my students made across percentiles in SY 2016. In Fall 2015, 65% of my students performed below average when compared to other 5th graders across the country. By Spring 2016, 84% of my students performed as well as, or better than, all other 5th graders across the country, and grew an average of 17.5 RIT points. Most remarkably, by the end of SY 2016, 31% of my students ranked in or above the 80th percentile of the country’s 5th graders.

SY 2018 - Breakthrough Public Schools

Breakthrough Charter Schools has a total of 12 schools. In its first founding year, E Prep Willard outperformed all Breakthrough Schools on the NWEA MAP assessment for student growth. 97% of our scholars met or exceeded growth targets in math and 81.8% of our scholars met or exceeded growth targets in reading.


Ohio Department of Education State Report Card

SY 2019 - Breakthrough Public Schools

Captured below is the state report card for E Prep & Village Prep Willard, SY 2019. EPVP Willard earned an A on its state report card for progress and value-added. In all grades for math and science, and in 6th grade ELA, scholars made significantly more progress than their counterparts in other Ohio schools (as indicated by the dark and kelly green markers in the Progress table). 5th and 7th ELA scholars made progress similar to the statewide expectation. EPVP Willard ranked in the Top 10 Community Schools in the city of Cleveland and ranked as the #2 public charter school on the west side of Cleveland.

The table and graph below display the overall data from E Prep Willard’s Parent and Family Engagement Survey for School Year 2019-2020. Something notable to highlight is that 91.71% of our families indicated that they were satisfied or very satisfied with our school in terms of communication, events, culture & climate, and instruction.

SY 2021 (Fall) - Breakthrough Public Schools

In a network-wide 360º Feedback Survey, 100% of EPW teachers either agreed or strongly agreed that I provide clear, consistent, and effective communication (23% above the network average). The data also shows that I fostered a strong sense of belonging at EPW, leading to 100% of my teachers agreeing or strongly agreeing that there was someone within our school community who cared about them as a person (19% above the network average). I intentionally set structures and advocated for my team with regard to work load and balance, which yielded 57% of my teachers indicating they felt supported enough to maintain work-life alignment (22% above the network average). Furthermore, 86% of EPW teachers indicated that our school leadership team was committed to improving their instructional practice (22% above the network average).


Secondary Literacy Student Achievement Data

SY 2023 - KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools

During my one-year tenure as Achievement Director of Secondary Literacy at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, I increased the percent of scholars demonstrating proficiency and reduced the percent of beginning learners across 5th-8th grade on the Georgia Milestones Assessment.
